Jigme Tenzin launched his career as a trekking & tour guide in 2010, and his journey since then has been a testament to his passion for the outdoors and commitment to excellence. Before embracing the trails, he spent seven years as the chief technician at Bhutan’s sole archery outlet, honing his technical skills and attention to detail. His extensive training includes leadership seminars on high altitude medicine and a first responder’s course through NOLS in the USA, ensuring that he is always prepared for the challenges of the mountains.

Known for his amiable nature and genuine enthusiasm for trekking, Jigme is also a renowned birder in Bhutan, blending his love for nature with expert knowledge to enrich every tour he leads. He lives by the belief that “small things can make a big difference,” a philosophy that drives his meticulous and thoughtful approach to guiding.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jigme is a passionate singer and even produced an album several years ago. His melodious tunes have become a beloved feature on his tours, endearing him to guests and earning him the playful nickname “ICEMAN,” inspired by the Top Gun movie. Hailing from Trongsa in Central Bhutan, Jigme embodies the spirit of adventure and the warmth of Bhutanese hospitality, making him a truly exceptional tour leader.
