VISA & SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FEE (SDF)

Visa Processing: Apply online via Bhutan’s Department of Immigration website or let Yangphel Adventure Travel assist with your documentation. The visa fee is USD 40 per person (non-refundable) and takes up to five working days to process.
SDF Charges: Visitors from India pay Nu. 1,200 per night, while travelers from other countries pay USD 100 per night, supporting Bhutan’s economy, environment, and cultural preservation. The Sustainable Development Fee funds programs that preserve culture, protect heritage and the environment, improve infrastructure, create opportunities for youth, and enhance resilience.

ENTRY, TRAVEL & HEALTHCARE

Visitors arriving by air land at Paro International Airport, while those driving in can enter via Phuntsholing and Samdrupjongkhar.
A visa clearance letter is required for entry and will be stamped upon arrival.
Tourists can also benefit from free basic healthcare during their stay.
