Glenn is a pioneer in adventure travel with a career spanning over 30 years. In the early 1980s, he founded Karakoram Experience (now KE Adventure Travel), leading treks on iconic routes across Asia and establishing it as a global leader in independent adventure tourism. His connection to Bhutan began in 1993, advising on trekking for western travellers, completing the Snowman Trek to Gangkhar Puensum, and becoming the first to lead a group on cycles across Bhutan. Glenn has since promoted and led treks in regions like Chomalhari, Laya, Lunana, Bumthang, Haa, Merak and Sakteng, and Manas. The Royal Orchid, named after a trip Glenn pioneered with Yangphel, is now one of their best-selling experiences.
In the 2000s, Glenn collaborated with Yangphel to enhance Bhutan's high-altitude trekking expertise and continues to advise them and Yangphel’ s clients. As a volunteer Director of Operations for The Juniper Trust, Glenn has spearheaded education and sustainability projects, including rebuilding schools and planting 100,000 fruit trees in Nepal. His dedication to sustainable tourism and community development makes him a key advocate for Bhutan's tourism.
